Sport plays an important part in the life of Scoil Eoin Baiste, and has done so for many years. We aim to provide pupils with the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports and to develop links with various sporting organisations in the parish such as : Ballyhouge GAA Club, Ballyhogue Ladies Gaelic Football Club, Bree United Soccer Club, Bree Athletics Club and Wexford Academy of Irish Dancing.

We would hope that children will continue their interest in sports that they develop in their time in Galbally and that this will help maintain them a healthy lifestyle as they continue on their journey into adulthood.

The pupils in Scoil Eoin Baiste take part in a wide variety of sports including :
* Gaelic football
* Hurling
* Ladies Gaelic football
* Soccer
* Rounders
* Swimming

We have had considerable success in recent years by winning County Finals in both boys and girls Rackard League football as well as mixed rounders.
Several students have taken part in the Waterfront swimming gala and have produced medal winning performances.

Sports Day

Every June we have a sports day and prize-giving day.

All children take part and have lots of fun.  The Parents Association are a huge help in organising and running the day and some parents and staff members are even coaxed to take part !

The events vary from sprints to sack races and clothes races, while Tug-0-War usually proves to be very popular.

An ice-cream van usually calls at the end of the day to cool us off.
